What does a Garment Technologist do?

Supporting the Design and Buying Team. Throughout all the stages of the garment products and development, from design to manufacture. As a garment technologist, you will be involved in choosing an appropriate design to remain within budget, while working with the Pattern Graders to supervise the sizing, fitting and testing of the pre-production garments.

 

Other responsibilities will include analysing product returns and faults.

Responsibilities

You need to own the responsibility for the fit of our clothing product, create garment specifications and manage the sampling process through fit trails, measurement and the altering of patterns.
Working with manufacturers in the UK, Europe and the Far East to manage and improve their output and quality. Also Creating factories pack, Measure, report and analyse quality performance by directing in house and 3rd party inspection actively. You will also measure, analyse customer returns, understand and improve our quality.
